Snowgum at Cradle

Cradle Valley, Tasmania, Australia

This is the last picture I took (and will ever take) with my F810. I didn't fasten the top button of my shirt and later in the day I was
catching invertebrates in a creek as part of my ranger duties with a bunch of kids and "plop" in went my camera. There is a
lesson in that. A somewhat expensive lesson, but valuable as well. Not only a lesson about doing up my pocket, but a deeper
lesson about the liberation of the material- if I made the mistake in putting my happiness in things, rather than life, I could have
been devastated by this loss- but really, the tree is still as beautiful whether I photograph it or not.
I was surpised I was able to recover the image, but here it is.

i was about to say this tree has a beautiful color and texture-then i read your note. its a beautiful thing to see that you have been blessed with such wisdom. your job is perfect for your disposition. keep up the good work--and may the rest of your life and your family be blessed as well. cc
