This individual is called "Cecil" and lives around my temporary residence at Cradle Mountain. These are highly intelligent birds
who will exploit any weakness that humans might exhibit- they have learned, for example, that people like to keep their snack in
the zippered section of their backpacks and if Overland Track walkers are careless enough to leave their packs unattended these
birds will take off with a treasured chocolate or meusli bar. During the summer breeding season they are adept at finding insects
and lizards to feed their vocal offspring.
