Moor Wombat Spoor

Cradle Valley, Tasmania

Vombatus means "wombat", ursinus "like a bear".
This curious marsupial does droppings which are square.
It stacks them high and proudly, on mushroom, rock and log;
amazing how it manages to do a cubic bog!
But evolution has provided answers to this story-
the craps don't roll when cubic and they mark its territory!
