Very similar to Pseudemoia (Claireascincus) entrecasteuxii, this species can baffle even experts who are trying to tell them apart..
This species is confined to grassy woodlands and was thought to only occur in the midlands region of Tasmania (as well as on
mainland Australia) but this find in Cradle Valley (and further sightings in the Vale of Belviour) indicate that this cryptic species may
be more widespread than previously thought.
