The Tree Base Litter Skink is a common species over much of eastern Australia where it forages amongst leaf-litter, often at the base
of trees- hence its descriptive common name. This species is one of many small Australian skinks with a transparent scale covering
the eye. These egg-laying lizards are generally secretive, which given their size, is a really good idea.
