Land Nemertean, Class Enopla, Order Hoplonemertia

Hibbs Beach, southwest Tasmania

I don't know much about this weird group of invertebrates, but I know that photos of them are somewhat rare. This animal was
found some years ago when the photographer was considerably more youthful than he is now. Nonetheless I recall being astonished
by the speed of what is essentially a blob of glup. It was able to rapidly extend the anterior part of the body to nearly twice its
length, almost like a striking snake. Apparently they are predatory. Beyond that I know nothing about them. Any further information
would be appreciated.
