A shot of the Milky Way. Fifteen kilometers to the East (left) is the city of Clermont-Ferrand, spoiling the night sky with a lot of light polution, on top of that of a rising waning gibbous Moon. This shot was my first try at median stacking in Photoshop (ten 25s shots) to combat the noise of the iso 3200 exposures. Some of the apparent 'light polution haze' is actually due to thin clouds moving through the frame in some of the shots. Despite the less-than-perfect conditions, the result is pretty good in my opinion, and I can't wait for when conditions WILL be perfect.
