M33 in Triangulum

Nerpio/Spain

M33 is a member of the "Local Group" of galaxies. It shows big groups of blueish young star clusters in its spiral arms and several large emission nebulae. One of them has its own catalog entry as NGC604 and can be seen at the 7 o'clock position as a fuzzy pinkish patch.
The distance to M33 is about 3 mill. light-years.
