Son of Army Spc. Jamaal Rashard Addison, assigned to the 507th Maintenance Company in Fort Bliss, Texas. Jamaal's father was killed near Nasiriyah, Iraq on March 23, 2003. His grandmother, Patricia Roberts, gave a very moving speach at the Fayetteville event. She is a grant recipient of the Fallen Patriot Fund, which helps families of U.S. military personnel who were killed or seriously injured during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
