Before I went away I was reviewing my Pbase photos from last year and I noticed that it was over a year ago that I was investigating the issues of colour management. I concluded (with help from many of you) that I would have to 'buy something' ....and then I promptly forgot about it. Until recently when a) I found that my photos from Japan were particularly dark when viewed on others' monitors (though vibrant on mine) and b) Rosa's Dad was asking me about exactly the same issue and he later told me that he'd bought the Spyder2 and what a difference it made. While in New York top of my list of places to visit was B&H and I went in to buy an upgrade to CS2 and came out with that and a Spyder2 monitor calibration kit!!. It certainly makes difference to my screen but the real test is whether photos I upload to Pbase from now on appear very dark on my work pc monitor (which isn't calibrated of course).
