A view from the bus again today. I pass this on my way home. the double fronted office is full of those little silver disks that move around in a breeze. It's a popular window with parents of tetchy children, I've noticed "oh, quick... look a the sparkling window". Just a quick shot because I've been at school all afternoon for a Governors meeting with parents. What a waste of time... all parents are invited but only two turned up - one of those is the husband of a governor and the other is about to become a governor. Why do I bother?

I can relate to the turnout. I used to chair our local trade union, and come the AGM, we just used to get the committee there plus a couple who had nothing better to do. In the end, we just made out that the branch was going to fold if nobody attended and got involved. It did the trick!

Democracy at work. It is very depressing when things we take for granted in terms of responsibilities and rights, people in other countries give up there lives to obtain. A meaningful picture...
