Hairy beard-tongue (Penstemon hirsutus)

A plant native to Ontario and eastern NA. It grows in many areas around Ottawa, such as Marlborough Forest. But this was photographed here at the Fletcher Wildlife Garden where it has been planted in the Backyard Garden and the Butterfly Meadow. It attracts a number of bees and other insects who venture deep into this tubular flower.

I hope they are safe for their forage, the shape and petal look like morning glory.
You carefully observe nature, Christine. V
