Merriam Webster defines as:
Pronunciation: \ˈba-nish\
Function: transitive verb
1: to require by authority to leave a country
2: to drive out or remove from a home or place of usual resort or continuance
3: to clear away
All three of those definitions fit Ian and me tonight. Well, except for that part about leaving the country. That might be next, you never know.
Tonight, Margaret had some of the "Stampin Up" group over for a...well...ummm...whatever "Stampin Up" get togethers are all about. It involves paper, ink, and stamps, that's all I know, or as much as any male should ever know about this stuff. I give her a lot of crap about her scrapbooking and stamping stuff, but as most of us photo geeks know, cameras, lenses, and lighting, costs quite a bit, so I have no room to talk.
I tried to harsh their mellow by hanging out in the kitchen with them, you know, just to level out some of the estrogen in the room, but to no avail. They just went about like I wasn't there, which took all the fun out of it altogether.
Ian was sent off to our bedroom, where the only other working television is in the house. He could care less if it gets 125 channels, as long as it gets Disney. I caught him in there with his "commercial break toys" on the bed with him. You know, just in case things get reeeaaaaly boring during those 3 to 4 minutes of Disney World/Land propaganda.
So I had him cheese up a smile for me posing with his trucks.
