Hram Svetog Save

Belgrade (Serbia)

Our day started at Saint Sava's Temple,
the largest active Orthodox church in Belgrade.
The church is dedicated to Saint Sava,
founder of the Serbian Orthodox Church
and an important figure in medieval Serbia.
It is built on the Vraèar plateau, on the location where the Saint's remains are thought to have been burned in 1595 by the Ottoman Empire's Sinan Pasha.

A very imposing building. What fine weather you got to visit it!
