#22 Flatiron

Chester, Connecticut USA

There is a bit of a coincidence to this photo. Wednesday, my wife and I were on our way to Gillette Castle for me to get some photos for the July Challenge and I spotted this building in Chester, a little town on the Connecticut River. I did not know the name for this type of architecture. Yesterday I was commenting and ran across "Flatiron Building" by Michael Parkinson and now I know. :) Thanks Michael. For his photo:

This is wonderful, Frank! I need to get downtown to photograph the Rochester Flatiron Building. This has so much more character though. Wonderful find!

Fabulous shot, sort of reminds me of the shape of a tram with the date at the top like that! v

Love this old building. Too bad the power lines were in the way. But, it still is a great shot. Love it in B&W. Would love to go inside.

Thanks Frank, this place has character and unless Chester has two of them the following link probably applies.http://www.scofieldhistoriclighting.com/History.html
All those power and communication lines that Europe, to a large degree, has placed under ground, drive me to distraction. I'll add you to the list.

I like all the lines on the raod and in the air, v
