A Bird in Hand!
I have been somewhat restricted to home because of a strong sensitivity to light, caused by several drops I take four times a day. Sometimes I am forced to sit in a darkened room to rest the eye. As a result, my photo subjects are few. I decided to play with one of Carol's birds and try putting it in one of her houseplants just for fun. Here is the result, nothing great but some fun for me.

Martini Glass on Glass
We have this bar with a glass top, and Carol has this martini glass sitting on it. I thought it would make a good image. How about you?

True Tolerance
Miko the Magnificent is the picture of true toleration. He really doesn't care to have his picture taken. But it isn't worth any exertion to move, so he just keeps a wary eye on the photographer.

It's Curtains For You!
Just something else I found around the house. I liked the pattern made by the fringe at the top.
So it wasn't the curtains themselves but rather the lines, shapes and tones made by them that attracted me. I tried to make that stand out about it

Horseless carriage
I saw this old carriage in a neighborhood yard. It looks like it is in pretty good shape even though it sits out in the weather. No horse in sight. :)

Wild Rose, Provincial Flower of Alberta
The "Rosa acicularis, also known as the prickly wild rose, the prickly rose, the bristly rose and the Arctic rose, is a species of wild rose with a Holarctic distribution in northern regions of Asia, Europe, and North America." -
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosa_acicularis
My grandfather homesteaded on a large farm in Clyde, Alberta, where my father and six siblings grew up. I was able to visit there only once, and met uncles and cousins who lived there as well. My father and mother moved to Olympia Washington shortly before I was born. I didn't know the 'prickly wild rose' was the provincial flower of Alberta until I saw it online.

Farm Equipment - Dorris Ranch
I always enjoy walks at Dorris Ranch, one of the Willamalane parks in Springfield. I found this scene very appealing. Though a park, Dorris Ranch still has a working filbert (hazelnut) orchard that lies beyond the trees.

On The Pond
This pond in Alton Baker Park is one of my favorite places to look for birds of various kinds. I have seen several varieties of ducks, herons, cormorants, egrets, osprey and some other kinds of birds there at different times. Unfortunately, on this day only geese were on the pond! But yes, they are ok too!
