Spotlight on Bluebells
Another photo from the backyard. I enjoy the backyard but am also anxious to get other subject matter. :)
Walked down the street for a couple blocks. Blood pressure got high, but that is somewhat to be expected. Had three nice short walks today.

A Gift From Carol
When I got home from the hospital, something was waiting for me in the backyard, a heron of my own! I guess everyone knows I love herons. Carol got it while I was in the hospital and had it waiting for me. What a treat!
Saw the heart specialist on Wednesday and the surgeon yesterday. They both feel I am healing up well! Good news! I am three weeks from surgery and anxious to get out for a photo shoot. :) Not ready yet, but something I am looking forward to.

Bathed in Morning Light
This is my first post since open heart surgery. I am healing well but am weak and tire easily. It's only been three weeks since surgery, so I guess I shouldn't expect more. Can't use my upper body yet so feel pretty helpless.
I shot these flowers in the backyard through the sliding glass doors with my trusty P510.

Life in a Fish Bowl
The poor fish in the aquarium at our doctor's office just have no privacy. :) We sit and watch them and poke our cameras at them. I am sure glad that I don't have to live that way. How about you?

Translucent
I loved the way the light made this beauty glow! Lighting can do so much for a subject!

Up The Down Staircase
The stairs at the doctor clinic where Carol and I go. Of course, Carol always has to use the elevator! :) I am using it right now too!

Temporary Roadblock
My heart surgery was a temporary roadblock in my life. I think this image, shot the month before, well represents how my activities had to stop. Now I am looking forward to getting out there again, after I go through cardiac rehab, that is.

Interloper
The Common (European) Starling is long known in history, according to Wikipedia. However, it is a relative newcomer to our shores, at least to Oregon. It has become somewhat of a nuisance here, as it is bigger than a lot of our native birds and takes food away from them. It is about the size of our Western Scrub Jay, also a noisy visitor that will eat up our bird feed. Both can be entertaining. This one was photographed in our backyard.

Backyard Buddy
This little fellow is a frequent visitor to our backyard. It loves to tease our little dogs, who will give chase whenever they see it, with no real hope of ever catching it.
It's always fun to watch. Taken through sliding glass doors.

Texting - A Way of Life
Texting seems to a sign of the times. Though something new to me, and what I can't do on my iPhone because of poor eyesight, it has really taken over. Makes me wonder how many use a phone any more. :)

Heather
We aren't in England but we have some lovely heather in our backyard. I think it is so pretty. (and so is England, which I would love to see someday) :)
