Comparison - Winnipeg and Pacific Lights

This photo was taken last night as a reference for the size of the spots we saw the 24th of August. This is the city of Winnipeg in Canada. While were cruising at 35.000ft, the city of Winnipeg has a elevation of 700ft, resulting in about the same size as seen from the cockpit/flightdeck as seen through the same camera and lens.
Top image; Winnipeg as seen from 35.000ft
Lower image; Unidentified Pacific Lights as seen from 34.000ft

The city of Winnipeg is about 22km (13,7miles / 11,9Nm) wide (in any direction). Compared to the other photo of the glowing lights passing underneath it seems that the size was roughly the same or even larger, and perhaps now you can imagine the size of the individual lights.

The green lights on the left is the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) that were very active last night.
EXIF data comes from the top image (Winnipeg view).
