Frozen In Action

Dong Zen Fo Guang Shan Temple, Selangor

This shot is unique for the shooter is frozen while the crowd is `blurred', giving the `ghostly' feeling. This shot was taken at dusk, before nightfall. The added lights on the exterior of the temple rooftop makes it pretty and right at the back you see the Goddess of Mercy (Kwan Yin) statue, which adds to a mystical feeling to this shot.

The shooter is echoed by the illuminated figure in the background. If only the lady in the blue shirt was in motion, this image would have left only the shooter and that distant statue incongruously standing as static figures. It works as it is to a degree, but the concept is even stronger than the resulting image. It shows me that you are thinking expressively as you shoot, Tricia.
