The old bridge can be seen in the background. I am guessing that the old one was built around the '30s because my father-in-law helped build it by carting cement in a wheelbarrow across the almost 2 mile length. It was retired in the late '60s and has now become a long fishing pier and the bridge in the forefront has taken its place.
