Ebony Figurine

This is an ebony bust from Tanzania. The family mythology is that my parents got it from my grandparents when they traveled to Africa - not sure if that story is true, but I appreciated the artistry in the carving of this bust.

Shooting this type of thing can be tough, you have managed very well to bring details out of the black wood..
