it's time...

“People often say that, in a democracy, decisions are made by a majority of the people. Of course, that is not true. Decisions are made by a majority of those who make themselves heard and who vote - a very different thing.” ~ Walter H. Judd

“Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone, and you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost.” ~John Quincy Adams

great pic for today... as you know, I voted as soon as the polls opened and have had this hopeful feeling all day. I believe we will make a change...

May the best man win. I think every western country is watching very carefully.
Beautiful brooch!

I've never missed an opportunity since I turned 18. Heck I campaigned before then for some local candidates :-)
Cindi Smith04-Nov-2008 21:01
Well shot and well said. I think we are lacking in principles within our government....gotten so far away on what this country was founded on. But, all we can do is do what we should do and vote what your heart tells you to do.
Johnny JAG04-Nov-2008 19:41
Having met a number of politicians I don't believe principles enter into it, noble as it sounds ;-)
Phillip Normanton04-Nov-2008 19:39
Vote for principle?? Err, I thought it was a choice between Obama and McCain???
Posh brooch - and I like the comp. :)
Lee Rudd04-Nov-2008 18:19

I thought I'd be clever this a.m. & got up at 4 . . .drove to the polling place thinking I was being VERY clever . . .NOT!! The lines were already too long for me to stay & not end up being late for work!!

I am NOT looking forward to this evening . . and it's cold and rainy to boot
*grumblegrousecomplain* =\\\
