8th March 05 Put out to Pasture

I've been waiting for several months for the right conditions for this image. I wanted a hazy background and low light. The last of the snow was an added bonus.

The tractor hasn't moved for many a year, its rusted and covered in moss, just irresistable ;-)

Update: 3rd Aug 05 - Looks like the Farm has been sold and the new owner has cleaned up the field. The tractor has gone ;-(

other sizes: small medium original auto

Very well composed and lit shot, but it makes me feel old - this model was the first tractor I drove as a boy! (It was fairly old then though!) Well done

The wait was worth it. Excellent image. Very nicely done.

Chris - it just outside Earl Sterndale so not far away - good guess.

I like your winter tractor - well snowed in ;-)

Great shot - it looks like the valley leading from above Hollinsclough to Chrome Hill, but probably not. Try my Peak District tractor athttp://www.pbase.com/image/35729132

It'd be nice to see what happens to this over time, season to season, assuming it's kept in the same place. It's a great prop.
