I Remember...9/11

When the 1st plane hit the Towers
I was packing a snake bite kit & water for the day in the Woods
I called my Dad & told him what had happened
...then I cooked a bunch of food...
That night I slept outside
I saw a satellite - there were no planes in the night sky

This is a nice tribute Sheila. This was certainly a landmark day that everyone remembers "where they were...". So sad!

I saw the result of the first plane on TV live in the UK... The TV People were talking about a fire at the top of the WTC. Then I saw the second plane appear on the horizon and couldn't believe what I was seeing. My heart still goes out to NYC and the American people.

Nice tribute, original image. So many have shared their sentiments in so many ways.

Nice tribute, so now I will ask all of my fellow country men and women, where are all of the flags that we saw flying after this horrible event and why are we not flying them now?

That evening, my hubby and I rode electric scooters around downtown. So many people mourning as they gathered at our capital building for a benediction. It was a beautiful day.. too beautiful to be so disasterous. Like never before, I felt connected to everyone. So surreal!

I remember...I was a new Mom and having my morning breakfast with my baby.
Watching GMA, like I always did, I saw it all LIVE.
I held my baby tight.
Amazing how clear that morning still is to me.

Shelia this is lovely.
Thanks for sharing and for the tribute.

I remember watching it on tv. It was early here
on the West Coast and I was glued to the set all
day. Saw the second one live. Could not believe
what I was seeing.
Pretty frightening at the time and a wake up call
for the country.
