Hello!
I lived in Bolton in the 50's, and even then the market was my favourite. Particularly the fish market - by God - those kippers....! I live in S France now, but when I was in Manchester in the 70's, we went once a week, just for the market.
I hope it's still as good, and maybe someday I'll come back and see!
I lived in Hulton Lane, went to Hindley & Abram Grammar School - a long way from Southern France!

oh I love this sort of place - all gone in the south east but I'm happy to report that they thrive in the south west!

Fortunately greedy Tesco's nearest shops are too far for me, but I'd shop here if I lived in Bolton.
