I found this bird amongst 130 Canadas at the Castle Hill Farm in Newtown, CT. Jay Carlisle of the Idaho Bird Observatory confirmed the identification of this recently split species. The tiny goose adorned a small white ring that seperated the black neck and tan chest. The bird was quite conspicuous even at a distance.
