Butterfly Iris

These are some beautiful Irises that are growing in the garden at one of my schools. I've always called them Butterfly Irises, but am not sure if that is there true name. I am buried under my project that must be finished by Wednesday, so I will try to get around and visit pictures, but you may not "see" me until Thursday.

Elaine this is Dietes Bicolor sometimes named a wild iris. There are only 2 places in the world where it grows naturally, Africa & on Lord Howe Island, halfway between Australia & New Zealand. Your image is beautifully clear.

Beautiful blossoms whatever they're called. The water droplets make them look so refreshing.

These are really pretty and I've never seen irises like that. I wouldn't have even guessed they were irisis because of their shape. Nice one.
