Maastricht (Limburg), Netherlands

Preparations for the "big dig": the tunnel for the A2 highway. Currently Maastricht is the only city between Amsterdam (Netherlands) and Genua (Italy) where there are traffic lights slowing you down...
In 2016 this should be over when the new tunnel is completed.

het beeld laat goed de grootschaligheid van het projekt zien.
het werd tijd! als je van vakantie terugkwam uit Frankrijk wist je dat je in Nederland zou worden verwelkomd met een lange file in Maastricht....
