Designed in 1932 by Frits Peutz and restored in 2002 by Jo Coenen and Wiel Arets. The Glass Palace is a fine example of the synthesis of classic architecture and the use of form and material by "Het Nieuwe Bouwen".
Originally built as a department store for fabric merchant Peter Schunck, this National Monument now houses the city library, modern art gallery, a film theater and restaurants.
