Rainproof

Victoria, BC

It was a miserable, rainy day but this Northern Pintail didn't seem to mind it much....must be the built in waterproofing. :0)

Northern pintails are long, slender ducks with long, narrow wings, earning them the nickname "greyhound of the air." Pintails are named for their elongated central tail feathers, which constitute one-fourth of the drake's body length. Amazingly, they require no running start to take off but can directly fly from floating in the water. - National Geographic
