Afternoon Suprise

Palouse Hills, Washington

I'm not sure who was more surprised at this sighting. We never expected to see elk in the middle of the Palouse Hills and I don't think the elk expected us to stop and gawk at them eating apples under a tree at the bottom of one of the ravines that cross through the hills.
