This Red Fox was a regular visitor to the RV Park we stayed at in McCall, Idaho. His rounds took him through the campground during the early morning and early evening hours. He was the most brilliantly coloured of all the foxes that I've seen. Trying to capture a fox with my camera has given me a good understanding of why they've earned their reputation for intelligence and cunning. I looked up a few facts about foxes and found out that the fox's thick tail not only aids its balance, but they use it as a warm cover in cold weather and as a signal flag to communicate with other foxes.
