Over top of that will be laid a grid of rebar, and then filled with cement. This is probably the worst time of day to explore an incompleted bridge, because a shoelace caught in a hooked rebar (visible here) can twist an explorer's ankle, gash a leg, or send the explorer right over the edge. No joke.
