Our house has been plagued by the fact that it sits in a drainage zone for a former creek that is now buried, just down the street... that's not the problem here

As part of our basement reno's we've had the water turned on/off/on/off again many times recently.
This has exposed the age-old problem of connecting galvanized pipes to copper! oyyyyyyyy!!
