Unitron 3"

It wasn't just the Questars that I coveted. Remember Unitron telescopes? These were high-quality, expensive achromatic refractors. A local educator uses one, shown here pointing at Venus, which is the out of focus bright spot above the snowy horizon. The scope showed the bright planet absent of almost all chromatic aberration. These are definitely high-quality scopes. This one still has the .965 eyepieces. This photo was taken at Klode Park in Whitefish Bay, Wis., on March 3, 2007.
