DSS_Rosette_1_L_DBE_PS4.jpg

In January 2016 I modified a Canon T2i by removing the IR blocking and anti-aliasing filters. This Rosette image was taken with that camera using a 12nm Ha filter and a 4 inch f/5 achromat.
This was in my light-polluted back yard. I have no hope of capturing this much nebulosity and detail from my back yard unless I shoot narrowband.
I'm likely stuck with Ha and maybe OIII for a few objects, SII is just too weak to try without a cooled imager
and I don't anticipate trying a cooling mod on a DSLR anytime soon. The upper left portion
looks strange due to some misalignment (camera rotation) after meridian flip. Compare to http://www.pbase.com/emagowan/image/24403612 and http://www.pbase.com/emagowan/image/120918374
