re Burmis tree...when I left Vancouver in 1972 and moved to Sparwood I thought I had died and gone to heaven. There was never a day that I didn't see something that made me get out of my car with camera in hand and shoot pics of deer, elk, moose, etc. Then on my way for a drive towards Calgary I literally slammed on the brakes and scared the crap out of my then pregnant wife as I stopped to gaze at the most beautifull tree I had ever seen!!! Back then it still had leaves on it that seemed like an artist had placed them in just the right place to make it what it is--the most photographed tree in the world. My poor old wife looked at me like I was crazy. I pointed at the tree across the road and we both just stared at it for while, It was so majestic, so perfect, yet so sad, because we knew it had been dying for a long time already. So the next weekend or so I brought my camera (Pentax) and started shooting away. Over the years whenever we drove past it I would add to my collection of the Most Beautiful Tree in the World. I'm so glad you too have found it and shown it on your website to others. It's looking a lot Older, but then so am I.
I love your pics....Les Steiner----Calgary, Alberta

Outstanding picture. Wow, that's realy amazing this spot. Was in near High River and wanted to make it to Cowsnest Pass as well four weeks ago, but I didn't make it. According to your pictures, it's worth to go there. Excellent shot ! V
