You have a good feeling for rhythm in your photos! I love it.

Chris, your art is rather cool SP and waiting neat. your eye something else. All the tech stuff just gets in the way sometimes, best way to learn is make mistakes. You have the gift unique to you just shoot and to hell with em all....you're an artest just shoot

Hi Christina, I'm an artist, oils and always on the search for someting to paint. You have some cool stuff that would make great paintings. I haven't been through all your galleries yet but of course I did do legs (grin) Anyway, what are your feelings on the painting thing, I'd love to try one or two although making a decision will be difficult your pics are something else more wonderful and I do smile looking through your gallery.
thanks Dave

Hi Christina, Thanks for visiting my galleries and commenting. To answer a few questions; yes the brooms were in a eyeglass shop window. The suspended table was a gimic as part of the Frankfurt 'skyscraper festival'. It was at a construction site where another tall building is being built.

Keep up the great work.

Ciao, Greg

You`re something Christina! A true artist I believe, hard to understand but for some reason - not clear in my head yet, which is probably a good sign. I`m impressed, but Van Gogh impresses me too!
Keep on working, I`ll come back to see how you move on! SUCCES, Regi

It took me a long time to realize this, that the best piece of photographic equipment money CAN'T buy is the mind. You have it. I think you would do very well with just about any camera. Keep shooting...and keep on having fun doing it.
Guest 08-Nov-2006 00:59
Christina, congratulations on having accomplished the 100,000 hit mark! You surely deserve it! Your images are just so incredible, they just totally grab me and draw me in. Keep up the wonderful work and stay the inspiration you are to me. --Skip

Excellent work! Your passion comes through loud and clear in your well seen and executed captures. Your images and galleries are finished with a production quality, that one would think, a grad-student could not find the time for. You evidently have a gift for budgeting time as well as the art of photography. A toast to the eclectic!! You'll see me loitering often, when time permits. Gus

It's hard to put an adjective (or even several) to accurate depict your pictures. So I will just say what others have said. Good stuff!

Very stimulating.
I saw we started our Pbase life on the same date.
I gather we both like it so much that it will be a long life.
Like the color in your life and will be back.

Thank you for your precious comments, Christina! About the image of candles ... well this is a post processing work. In fact I shot only one candle agaist black background and added rest of cloned ones as I wanted them to be placed. I hope you can also achieve this kind of symmetry, now. I am in the process of visiting your nice galleries ... would comment later.

Hello Christina, Thanks for taking time to visit my galleries, and for your kind comments on so many images.

I enjoyed browsing you macro work in particular, and I notice that you make mention of the filter lens attachment. It's a technique I use often despite having other macro lenses.

May I suggest for some of your flower macros, exploring use of less than full daylight illumination, and then adding selective lighting with something as simple as a hand-held flashlight. It can add a touch of shadowy mystery ... see my "Florals at a glance".

Best wishes, and good luck with your post-grad work.
Brian

Dearheart? You're a peach! Thanks for the JS coupon. Every little bit helps these days. nice to know I am still loved. BTW, y'all are still loved, too. By me. Specifically. Secondary btw... your photographic eye still amazes me. Chagrins me that I gave up the art a long time ago, otherwise, we could compare notes, so to speak. Kiss the Chadwick for me. Then kiss yourself for me.

Lloyd & Sandy Spitalnik18-May-2006 00:13
Hi Christina, Thanks so much for your visit and kind comments. You're right on both counts - Lloyd and I have been birding for 20 years, and we constantly get comments from people not believing Central Park can be so great for wildlife. Lloyd takes most of the pics, but I took the fritillary. Had no idea what it was at the time, but luckily we have lots of friends in the park who help us with plant and insect ID. Regards, Sandy

Thanks for your comments Christina regarding imagehttp://www.pbase.com/image/41155679. I have learned a lot from the posters in the dpreview form and in this case, I used suggestions from cspringer. Paint With Light II is an action for PSCS2 that I used here and very often for color saturation, lighting, etc. It's available athttp://www.atncentral.com/
If I can be of further assistance, please don't hesitate to ask.

Cheers!

Hi Christina. Glad I could help with some of your ids. Thanks for your comments on my page. Glad you enjoyed the screech owl. It's the only one I have been able to photograph, and it was quite distant, heavily cropped, hence the soft focus. I hope to improve on that one.

Hi Christina, Thanks for the kind comments on my corporate traveler series recently. Really appreciate you spending the time to stop by and comment. When anyone mentions that your work has been an inspiration to them, I think it's a compliment of the highest order (at least that's how I take it) and is great to know you're now looking to take a second look at the daily world around you :). Please do stay in touch - will be very glad to see how you're getting on. Cheers, Lawrence
