Survival of the fittest

Vienna. Austria

Sometimes, interesting shots result from pure coincidece. This one's a point in case. I had taken some pics at a jazzclub the night before, and thus my camera still was set to ISO 2000 and Manual Mode. On the way to the office next morning, I saw this flock of pigeons fighting for food. I took out the camera and took a quick shot from the bike, which turned out to be hopelessly overexposes due to the wrong camera setting. Nevertheles I did not delete it, but tried to rescue it with the RAW-converter (Capture One) and PS (with a bit of Melancholytron filter (multiply) to add some more contrast).

Interesting story... That happens to me all the time, but I was feeling hopeless.
The result is very interesting, with the green popping out. Nice image.
