I stayed the night (well until 3am anyway,) in Sandpoint, Idaho, after the Sandpoint Arts Festival in order to be at Steptoe Butte at Sunrise.
Many shots from this region are taken in the spring, when the hills are endless cascades of green.
I'm thinking the wheat just before the harvest really enjoys the warm rays of a late August sunrise...
