Print of the Year, Advanced Colored Prints - 2005-6 - NV Photographic Society(Memorability: High (score: 0.727 ) Pop:3.254)

Month #18 - Retrospective of Daily Photos posted from 5/04 to 12/09 (most viewers for the month)

October 2005 - In terms of acceptance at competitions (something I no longer do) this was my biggest winner - Harvest Time. Here's what I wrote way back when -

Print of the Year, Advanced Colored Prints - 2005-6 - Northern Virginia Photographic Society
1st place, Juried exhibit - Scenes from Prince William County - Manassas, VA - January 2006
2nd place, advanced color prints, 12/20/05, Northern Virginia Photographic Society
The rain finally stopped. Off to the Manassas Battlefield to see what I could make of the hay rolls they'd harvested last week (well, not before explaining to an NPS ranger why I didn't have a park entrance pass. I've got one. Honest. It's an NPS Golden Age Passport - which unfortunately is in my other car. This has happened the last two times at Manassas. Guess who has the Passport in his wallet now - finally?)
I would have liked to move a few of these rolls around. This one was the only one within 100 feet of this stereotypical civil war battlefield fence that I wanted to include in the photo. Anyone have a tractor?

Beautiful shot! Love the layers of color, and always enjoy seeing the shape of bales of hay round the world. All tidyed up for winter.
