It was windy so I needed a shutter speed to freeze the motion. I was looking down into the flower & wanted the pink part in focus so I needed to stop down. Ultimately, I had to go to ISO 1600 as a compromise between fast shutter speed and adequate DOF. Life is about compromises. For perspective, the blossom is about 1/8 inch across (about 1/4 cm?).
