The neighbor's flower bed. He says that it's an orchid. Two shots overlayed - one in focus and overexposed; one out of focus & 2 stops less exposure than the first. Busy mulch background smudged.

I agree - it certainly looks like an iris. I don't want to correct my neighbor though since he allows me to crawl around his yard photographing flowers. The flower is very small - maybe 2 inches max atop a 5 inch stalk.

Nice effect. I believe it's an Iris though. They're among my favorite. Great shot!
