1/16/10 - May. 2005 Viewers' Choice (my alternate) (Memorability: Medium (score: 0.586 ) Pop:3.332)

Month #13 - Retrospective of Daily Photos posted from 5/04 to 12/09 (most viewers for the month)

May 2005 - one full year of shooting & posting daily under my belt The actual viewer's choice was posted yesterday. It was an example of a multiple exposure image - I was really getting into it at about this time. However, a year earlier I tried some multiples with my Coolpix 5700 (combined the exposures in post-processing) and did this one. One of my all-time favorites (probably because it was "my first").

Not only is this a multiple exposure, it is also a composite. One image is the actual multiple exposure (the blurry background). It is overlaid with the larger and sharper flowers to form the composite. The subject is a Winter Jasmine. I read about multiples and composites the day before in one of Tony Sweet's early books (while he was still doing more in camera and less in the digital darkroom). I was so excited that I hardly slept all night just chomping at the bit to go out and try some of this stuff.
