The power of using 400mm on a Nikon D1x (effectively a 600mm lens) - the lens a Nikkor Ai 400/5.6 ED MF dates back from around 1977 - and even today is the superior lens of its class. View the original to see the ability of this lens.
My only regret is the crop of her head, this is one of the disadvantages of using Manual Focus (MF) in that it takes time to set up the shot and by that time the shot is over.. so I was in a hurry just to get the shot.
