Clinton Motors Corporation started on a small scale in New York City, but purchased the
Schwartz Motor Truck Corporartion of Reading in 1923. By 1925, Clinton offered models from
1 1/4 to 7 ton capacities. The Model 45 was designed to haul 11,000 pounds of freight,
albeit at about 20 miles per hour. The company failed in 1934, a victim of the Great Depression.
