The name combined letters from the names of the founders, Frank Dick and Irvin Lengel.
The DILE roadster sold for $495 which made it very competitive with the Model T Ford that
accounetd for two out of three cars on the road at the time. There was also a touring model.
Production halted in 1917 when material and nskilled labor were shifted to the war effort.
