November 25- Lunch with Mum

I don't really have the right lenses to take macros
(like say, Mindy does).
But the back yard was lovely this Noon.
This insect (I say moth, Laurie says butterfly)
was enjoying the Fall Mums.

Nature's glorious color combinations. Wonderful.

Beautiful capture. Nothing wrong with a telephoto--often does just about as well as a macro.

Before I got my macro lens, I used my 300mm zoom to take closeup shots too. Yours turned out really nicely. Beautiful color and dof. Love it!

who knows... don't they both come from a cocoon :)
And from 300mm that's a fine shot

Don't know much about bugs, but it looks like a moth to me too. Whatever it is, it is pretty. And a good bug to have lunch with Mum!

I think that it is wonderful, regardless! Nice shot.

I think you're right . . I think it's a moth(one of those painted ladies or red admiral or something) . . but a lovely one to pose for you in such wonderful light
