Here in Bakersfield we have what they generously call a Mediterranean climate. I don't know how true that is any more because we generally don't see many clouds between April and October. The dry spell was broken last night and today with a decent downpour. In between showers, I was able to get out into the countryside and downtown alleys for some camera work. This shot is a field about 5 miles south of town looking towards the Grapevine.
