The Banded Pitta is found in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montanes. They spend the majority of their time on wet forest floors, eating snails, insects and similar invertebrate prey.
